A tip to the hairdist who picks up your hair: Don’t leave the salon until after your appointment.
That’s because the salon can take about 20 minutes to pick up your hairlines.
So make sure you leave the studio before that time.
“Don’t wait too long to leave,” says Patricia Naylor, the author of the new book Haircut Tips for Dummies.
“If you have a few more hours before your appointment, it will be much more effective.”
Tip of the day Haircuts are a great way to start the day with a good bang.
You can wear a scarf or a sweater over your head for a classic cut, and then add a pair of shoes or gloves.
But remember, it’s important to make sure that you don’t make too many alterations in the first 15 minutes of the haircut.
You want to start with the most natural looking cut, says Naylor.
You don’t want to add a layer of hair on top of your natural hair, which can make the hair look longer.
